About

My name is Skylyr VanDerveer. I was born and raised at the Jersey Shore. I am a seasoned public relations professional with a background in media relations, journalism and graphic design.

Currently, I am a Communications Specialist at a nationwide Architecture, Engineering and Construction firm headquartered in Central New Jersey. I also freelance for several hyperlocal online news organizations across New Jersey and a local advertising and government relations firm.

Previously I was a editor for two hyperlocal news networks in North Jersey, writing stories for the community and connecting with those around me. I also previously worked with an advertising and governmental agency based out of Elizabeth, assisting in campaigns and media relations.

I graduated Valedictorian with a Bachelors of Science in Media Communications from Full Sail University. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters of Arts in Public Relations.

I hope you enjoy my work and I look forward to speaking with you.
